Venice is an extraordinarily beautiful city, captivating, fabulous, breathtaking, an unique artistic masterpiece, and there are not enough words to give it full justice. With every step, there is an aspect of the city which is worth admiring. The ancient waterway of the Grande Canal, impressive Basilicas, and the Piazza of San Marco known as St Mark’s Square, are some of the city’s most famous attractions.
Clutch team will meet you at Venice airport, and on the way to the hotel there will be a short introduction to the area. We then meet at 3.30 pm in the hotel lobby, and officially start the tour with a briefing and a small amount of paperwork; you will meet the other riders, and view the motorcycles you will ride. The first day will end in a traditional Italian restaurant with a special welcoming dinner.
The start of the day takes us to Slovenia to visit small Slovenian town, Lipica, famous for the rare and aristocratic Lipizzaner stallions. World famous Lipizzaner stallions are named by this village. After lunch, a short ride to the world heritage site of the famous Skocjan caves, an experience not to be missed. You may have seen caves before but nothing prepares you for the sheer size of these underground caverns. The largest known underground canyon in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The natural phenomenon of these caves ranks alongside one of the wonders of the world. After the visit we ride to Piran and stay in Portoroz, Slovenia’s, major beach resort and main accomodation area for visiting Piran.
The first part of the day we enjoy the enchanting beauty of the quaint Istrian peninsula. Charming, crumbling villages and towns, look from another century, half abandoned ancient stones poised high above rich green pastures and forests, is an area of rare and disarming beauty. Motovun is perhaps the most famous of the Istrian hill towns, renown as the center of the famous truffle industry. Tasting these hidden treasures is possible. Continuing along the scenic Adriatic Coast is a glorious winding road, with breathtaking views of the Kvarner Bay with Cres and Krk Islands. Late afternoon we turn inland to Lika Region where we end our day in Plitvice National Park. Diner and overnight.
After breakfast we go for a walk to see Plitvice National Park. With 16 lakes and waterfalls this walk and boat ride on the way is a MUST. After early lunch we start riding back to the coast. Stop in Senj, an old town lying exactly on a 45th parallel north. From there we are riding one of the best roads in the region, like race track following the sea for 60 km, best riding, super scenic, beautiful views on the Islands. We continue heading south following the coastal road to Zadar.
After breakfast we follow the coastal road to Split. Looking towards the Adriatic islands, you will see the clearest blue waters in Europe. We stop at the most seductive town on the Dalmation coast, Trogir, an old-town with clusters of palaces, belfries and cobbled alleys radiating out from its medieval square. One of the largest UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the world, abounds in beauty and history. We continue with a short stop in Split where we take a ferry to Hvar Island, famous for its small old towns, beautiful nature with 300 days of sunshine.
Rest day in Hvar. Whatever you want to do on your rest day, you may find here on this Island, which is considered to be one of the 10 most beautiful Islands in the world. Night life and cultural attractions of cosmopolitan Hvar town, boat excursions to Pakleni Islands, sandy beaches near Jelsa, the ancient town Stari Grad in which past centuries mingle modern tourist facilities, heavenly beaches under pine trees in Zavala, exotic atmosphere of south cliffs in Ivan Dolac, Sveta Nedjelja or Milna, the “little Venice” ambient in Vrboska, ride through and sense lavender fields near Zastrazisce, Gdinj and Bogomolje, peaceful secluded bays near Sucuraj…this is just a fraction of it…you need to explore it.
77km of twisty road will bring you to the ferry terminal where you take a short ferry ride back to the mainland. We follow the scenic coastal road heading down to Dubrovnik. Along the coast we ride for 24 kilometers through Bosnia and Hercegovina, Bosnian little piece of Adriatic Coast. After quick lunch there we continue to Dubrovnik. Afternoon we explore compact and beautifully preserved medieval fortifications of Dubrovnik's UNESCO-listed Old Town. Take in the terracotta-roofed townhouses and centuries-old stone monuments; from the 17th-century Rector's Palace to the Baroque Cathedral. Take a walk of the City Wall for spectacular views of the Old Town or just sit on Stradun, its vibrant main street and enjoy coffee and Dubrovnik’s hospitality. You can take a cable car to the hill above Dubrovnik and be amazed by the breathtaking views of the Old City, the crystal clear Adriatic Sea and the numerous islands.Farewell dinner.
